Legal notice and terms of use

These are the terms of access and use of the website peerscore.app and of the mobile app PeerScore, for the purposes of Spanish Act 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI).

Owner: SOLUCIONEC
Tax ID (NIF): 45774319H

Service: the website peerscore.app and the mobile app PeerScore

1. What the service is

PeerScore is an entertainment app. The user answers a timed test of 40 reasoning questions — logic, numbers, letters and words — and the app turns the score into an estimated IQ and a position compared with the other people who have taken the test.

The estimated IQ is not a psychological assessment, a diagnosis or a validated clinical test. It is calculated from the user's answers and compared with the app's own players, not with the general population, so it can change as more people take the test. It is not valid for any clinical, educational, employment, legal or official purpose, and SOLUCIONEC does not issue certificates of any kind.

The service is aimed at people aged 18 or over. By using it, the user declares that they are at least that age.

The app is free and supported by advertising, and it contains no in-app purchases. The test can be taken without registering; creating an account is optional.

2. Terms of access and use

Accessing and using the website and the app implies full acceptance of these terms and of the other published policies (privacy policy and cookie policy).

SOLUCIONEC may change the presentation, the configuration and the contents of the service at any time, including the questions of the test and the way the estimated IQ is calculated, as well as these terms.

2.1 Optional account

The user may create an account with an email address and a password in order to keep their best result and recover it on another device. The user must provide an email address of their own, keep the password confidential and is responsible for the activity carried out with their account.

The account can be deleted at any time from the app itself or by writing to info@solucionec.com; the privacy policy explains how. SOLUCIONEC may suspend or delete accounts used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.

2.2 Prohibited uses

The user undertakes to use the service in accordance with the law, with these terms and in good faith. The following is expressly prohibited:

  • Presenting the estimated IQ as the result of an official, clinical or professional assessment, or using it to make decisions about third parties.
  • Answering the test by automated means, altering the results sent to the server or attempting to manipulate the scores and positions of other players.
  • Copying, extracting or publishing the bank of questions, in whole or in part.
  • Introducing viruses or malicious code, or attempting to reach restricted areas or SOLUCIONEC's systems by illegitimate means.
  • Reproducing, copying, distributing or publicly communicating the contents of the service without authorisation from their owner.

2.3 Intellectual and industrial property

Access to the service transfers no rights over the trade marks, trade names, logos, questions, texts, images, software or any other protected content, which belong to SOLUCIONEC or to their legitimate owners. Modifying, copying, reusing, exploiting, reproducing or publicly communicating them without express written authorisation is prohibited.

2.4 Availability and disclaimer

SOLUCIONEC does not guarantee permanent availability or continuity of the service, which depends on third-party hosting providers, on the app stores and on the user's own connection. The test itself works without a connection, but calculating the result against other players requires one; when there is no connection, the app shows a provisional result and says so.

Liability is excluded for damage arising from interruption of the service, from harmful elements transmitted by third parties, from decisions the user takes on the basis of their result, and from the loss of data stored on the user's own devices. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, in particular towards consumers.

3. Advertising

The app shows advertising served by Google AdMob, in banner and interstitial formats. No advertising is shown while a question is being answered; the interstitial appears at most once, before the result. Before personalised ads are shown, the user's consent is requested through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) and, on iOS, through the system tracking permission (ATT). Details are in the privacy policy.

4. Third-party links

The website and the app may include links to third-party pages — the app stores, Solucionec's own site and social networks. SOLUCIONEC does not control those sites and is not responsible for their contents, their availability or their privacy policies.

5. Data protection

The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy, and the use of cookies and similar technologies in the cookie policy.

6. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For the resolution of any dispute, the parties submit to the courts that are competent under the law, respecting in all cases the jurisdiction that the law grants to the user when acting as a consumer.
